Maiori

Nikon D300 Ottica Nikkor 18-200mm Iso 200 Focale 18mm 30 sec. F20 treppiede + filtro gnd4

-------------------------------------------------------

Maiori is the largest beach of the whole Amalfi Coast (Salerno Italy) with a really beautiful landscape. I tried a frame more suggestive position with the tripod as close as possible to the pebbly beach, I put, then, with a large stone up a shell in the right to give more harmony to the composition and I waited the time blue reached its highest expression. Step I also served a sloping gray gnd4 filter to compensate for the exposure of the right foreground with the sky.

Il Mare d'inverno / The sea in winter

Nikon D300 Ottica Nikkor 18-200mm dx vr Iso 200 18mm 5 sec. F20 + gnd4 + treppiede

---------------------

Throughout the winter I rush this step ... to find my way to describe the incredible feeling that you try to watch "the sea in winter and especially after a storm. Many outputs are returned home without even a decent ... except on this occasion was the' 8 February 2009 on Sunday, just after lunch at around 14.00, I decide to leave, despite the time did not allow anything good, sky gray and rain from the morning without stopping, but ... cmq. we try. Destination and 'the sea of Cilento (Salerno) about sixty miles from my house ...: first stage Ascea a beautiful beach with a beautiful coastline, when I arrive and' impossible to fall out of the strong wind and incessant rain. .. after a while 'waiting I decide to return home along the coastal road of the second stage Casalvelino ... ... seaside resort, but here nothing to do, even the way to go to sea was closed due to landslide . So in a violent rain continuing for the next stage: Pollica ... with a beautiful beach and beautiful reefs, but even here and say 'can not drop too much rain ... So I continue to Pioppi charming village on the sea with a beautiful pebbled beach ... but here ... nothing to do closed access to the sea for too much mud. Now some 'discouraged I think of returning home with yet another exit on empty ... but at the fork to continue again for the coast or take the direct road to home ... SS, I decide to do the last step .. . despite the darkness started to do ... ... and Acciaroli 'here begins the adventure. Almost suddenly the clouds open up to give room to the blue of the sky ... and my heart there ... I say, to get to race parking at the port take the camera with the cvalletto, who until that moment I had nothing to used, and I crashed on the rocks with this extraordinary atmosphere that had never happened before my eyes ...

PS. very pleased with this photo and 'was published on Reflexonline as photos of the week
