Il pittoresco e solitario villaggio di Ginostra di circa 80 ab. sulla costa sudorientale...raggiungibile solo via mare.

Il famoso isolotto di Strombolicchio...

E'uno scoglio in mezzo al mare alto 51mt,simile a un maniero mediovale,che spunta un chilometro e mezzo a nord di Stromboli.Un'antica leggenda,tramandata oralmente fino ai nostri giorni,vuole che lo Strombolicchio non sia altro che il tappo del vulcano Stromboli lanciato in mezzo al mare da una violenta eruzione.In realta si tratta solo di una porzione interna solidificata di un'antica struttura vulcanica poi lentamente smantellata dall'azione delle onde e del vento.Oggi Strombolicchio e' sede di un faro marino,alimentato a energia solare.Una ripida scala di 200 scalini,in parte ricavata nella roccia,consente l'accesso alla spianata sommitale da dove si ammira il suggestivo panorama su Stromboli e sulle altre isole.

Le vacanze del 2008 con mia moglie e in compagnia di una copia di cari amici le abbiamo trascorse nelle Isole Eolie...,con varie tappe vi portero virtualmente alla scoperta di questo affascinante luogo.Inizio con l'isola di Vulcano dove abbiamo anche soggiornato per una settimana.Quest'isola è la più meridionale delle Eolie,e la terza per dimensioni di tutto l'arcipelago...,si presenta fin da subito come un'isola dalla natura più selvaggia.
